Real Henleaze final match finished with a win against forth placed Lockleaze
Boys but one big reason the team won was probably the fact that Lockleaze never
bothered to turn up for the final game of the season. That therefore gave
Henleaze the win on their final day. Aaron Eamer will now try to put together a
new team to hopefully again play on Thursday after Duke Davis, Lyden Davis and
Ben Thingy led by John Bath have decided to part with the team to start their
own.
Final Score: Real Henleaze 10 Lockleaze Boys 0

A makeshift Real Henleaze side didn't put up too bad a performance against
second placed Topnuts. Real Henleaze were without Matt Smythe, Greg Miller and
James Ormerod. The latter who today retired from Real Henleaze due to a
re-occurring injury.
The first half was a good battle in the middle of the pitch between both sides
Topnuts came out best off leading 2-1 at the half the Real Henleaze goal coming
from James Viney after good work from Lyden Davis. Aaron Eamer got hit in the
face with the ball but play was allowed to go on as Eamer kept going.
The second half was full of controversy. Repeated fouling from Topnuts players
aggravated Real Henleaze and the fouling continued throughout the whole half.
Topnuts did not receive a booking though everyone thought one or two were
deserved. Topnuts looked dangerous on the counter attack but otherwise weren't a
huge threat. Real Henleaze had an obvious hand ball appeal turned down and had
ANOTHER Aaron Eamer goal disallowed. The third time in three weeks!
Mitch Lewer a temporary replacement for the match scored a good goal from a
tight angle for Real Henleaze' second of the game but it wasn't enough.
James Viney played the game with an injury and scored his first goal in three
weeks. The team were late turning up and just about got on the pitch in time.
The Referee seemed to cut the first half short which was another bad decision.
Referees can usually tell the time right?
Duke Davis once again put in a good performance in the Goal apart from one
incident where the ball went through his legs and into the net.
Final Score: Real Henleaze 2 Topnuts 6

Real Henleaze put up one of their best defensive and attacking performances
tonight against Cider Chiefs. The match was a battle between seventh and eighth
place and Real Henleaze showed why they were the team that is higher in the
tables out of the two.
The defensive performance from Real Henleaze was their best to date. The
man-to-man marking was relaxed a little but the defence still made sure they got
in front of their man to make sure the players didn't get through. Real Henleaze
held the back well keeping a couple back with the other two players stepping
back when needed. Real Henleaze made sure they were in all the position the ball
could go and Cider Chiefs only got through their defence to put away three
goals.
Cider Chiefs three goals wasn't near enough as Real Henleaze put eight past the
Cider Chiefs Goalkeeper who never looked entirely settled between the posts.
Brilliant composure and dribbling from Ben saw him score five. The other three
goals coming from Lyden Davis who put the ball nicely into the corner of the
net. An injured Aaron Eamer who put the ball into the net from an awkward angle
while under pressure and John Bath who held the ball calmly while a Cider Chiefs
defender seemed to attempt a slide tackle, the tackle missed and John put the
ball away nicely.
It was one of the best performances from the Real Henleaze team though the team
look as if they may need to find some new players with some looking to form
their own team. Hopefully this issue can be resolved rather than splitting the
team who played excellently tonight.
Final Score: Real Henleaze 8 Cider Chiefs 3

An evenly contested match throughout the whole 40 minutes from Real Henleaze and
Pasta Kings gave Real Henleaze their first league draw.
James Ormerod was out due to illness but a friend of Lyden Davis' - Ben, filled
in. Real Henleaze started with Duke Davis, Aaron Eamer, John Bath, Lyden Davis
and Ben.
The Pasta Kings Goalkeeper twice handled the ball outside his penalty area in
the first half though both times the Referee didn't spot it and play was left to
go on. Half-Time the score was 2-2 after two goals from Ben who ran around the
Defence and put the ball into the net easily. Pasta Kings goals were on the
counter attack and the first one a couple of people off the pitch missed it.
The second half saw much of the same as both teams performed well and both again
scored two. Ben again scored one after a good pass from Lyden Davis and Lyden
Davis put away the forth. Real Henleaze twice could've took the lead through
Aaron Eamer but the Referee disallowed the goals both times. The first for
apparently stepping into the penalty area. It was a marginal decision which
Aaron himself thought was wrong. The second though should never have been
disallowed. A pass off the wall which went over head height after hitting the
wall was blown up for when if the ball goes over head height off the wall play
is to continue! Aaron put the ball in the net once the ball came down to the
ground but the Referee had already made the wrong decision and disallowed it.
The match was evenly contested but two goals disallowed annoyed Real Henleaze
who thought they should've got the win.
Final Score: Real Henleaze 4 Pasta Kings 4

"Their second goal was unstoppable but they're just a bunch of kids with no
talent." That was what one Zebras player said in the changing room after the
match when only Aaron Eamer was left changing. That was a harsh comment seeing
as Real Henleaze put in a better performance against The Zebras than top of the
table Lockleaze Boys did.
Real Henleaze lost 23-2 to Zebras whereas top of the league Lockleaze lost 27-1.
That wasn't a bad result considering how well the Zebras have been doing since
joining the league.
Zebras deserved the win and were always going to get it with some patient
passing play around the defence mixed with the right amount of individual runs
through also. Their skill was too much for Henleaze.
The Zebras #5 did get a yellow card for throwing a punch at Aaron Eamer's body
but that didn't affect their play and it was down to Goalkeeper Duke Davis that
The Zebras didn't score more. Goals from James Viney after a neat one-two with
Eamer and an unstoppable first-time shot from Lyden Davis after a through ball
from John Bath gave Real Henleaze their two goals of the night.
Final Score: Real Henleaze 2 The Zebras 23

Real Henleaze knew that if they won they would set themselves up well for next
weeks match versus The Zebras who are unbeaten since replacing Seymour Butts.
They also knew that if they won the win would set them up nicely to move up the
table in the coming few weeks.
Real Henleaze looked unbeatable in the first half after going in at half-time
5-0 up! The defence led by Aaron Eamer looked solid once more and the attack
looked deadly with the usual James Viney and a cameo performance from Matt
Smythe who scored as many goals against Call Print tonight as he had in his
whole Real Henleaze career. The result of his goals? His first ever hat-trick.
Viney put in a hat-trick plus one and Eamer and Lyden Davis put one in for
Henleaze too.
Call Print never looked to be in the game. 5-0 at half time they knew they were
going to need to break down the defence. Call Print scored five in the second
half due to the defence pushing on a bit. The goals were sloppy and could have
easily been prevented after a good performance in goal from Duke Davis once
more.
Eamer set up a couple of goals and some good play saw him get a hat-trick of
assist along with a hat-trick of nut-megs. Those though as mentioned earlier
weren't the only hat-tricks with one for Viney and Smythe. The team played so
well together that it was impossible to pick a man of the match after great
performance from everyone who was on the pitch.
The game set's up Real Henleaze nicely for The Zebras next Thursday who are
averaging 22 goals per game. Real Henleaze have let in only 10 in the last two.
Final Score: Real Henleaze 9 Call Print 5

11/05/06 -
Real Henleaze had about half their team available with brother of Lyden Davis,
Duke in goal. The rest of the starting five along with Duke Davis were Matt
Smythe, John Bath, Aaron Eamer and James Viney.
McStone definately didn't look like a ninth place team. They looked solid and
passed the ball around well, they looked like a much improved side from the
previous time Real Henleaze played them. This good play from McStone was what
gave them a 3-0 half time lead. Although the Real Henleaze defence didn't look
bad at all McStone found ways through.
In the second half Real Henleaze mounted a come back and the score moved to 3-2
after a goal from James Viney and a goal from Aaron Eamer after a huge amount of
battling for the ball. McStone scored another goal quickly to put them back up
4-2 and a goal from John Bath put Henleaze back in it until late on when McStone
got one more.
The game won't be remembered for how close the scoreline was though. Late on
John Bath who was looking to pass the ball back to his Goalkeeper but was rugby
tackled by a McStone player. Real Henleaze got a free-kick but the players
weren't happy with that feeling the player should have got a straight red card
or at least a yellow! One player stood out with his disgust to the decision -
Aaron Eamer. After Eamer complained about the referee being scared to show a
card he used that moment to prove a point and give Eamer a yellow. That though
wasn't the last of it.
Eamer subbed off and made another comment, this time sarcastic; saying "Pick
the ball up, see what he does? He'll probably let you play on. He's too scared
to give out cards." The referee once more used that moment to prove a point
showing Eamer a red card with 30 seconds left of the game. The referee forgot
that a player from Real Henleaze should have been forced to leave the pitch
because of the sending off and Real Henleaze carried on with five for the
remaining 30 seconds.
The performance wasn't a bad one from the players and McStone looked very good
and comfortable on the ball. Duke Davis put in a good performance in goal and
Eamer in defence along with everybody else on the pitch. The fans were impressed
but less than impressed with the sending off. Eamer though will not miss any
matches as the referee didn't report the sending off.
Final Score: Real Henleaze 3 McStone 5

Real Henleaze scored their most goals in a game tonight as they put 11 past a
sorry Cannon Security side who never looked like winning going ahead only once
in the match.
Real Henleaze were level at half time with the score 5-5 although they should
have been leading after some good play all around the pitch. The defence worked
well and not much went past Aaron Eamer and Andy Murrell and the back which gave
John Bath little to deal with. The times Cannon Security did get through though
they put away their chances usually on the counter attack.
James Viney and Dave White worked well in attack and both finished the game with
four goals each. A goalkeeper change at half time led to James Viney going in
goal. The defence then was Aaron Eamer and John Bath although Bath strayed
forward too much which led to Lyden Davis playing at the back with Eamer to give
cover at the back.
Eamer went into goal with ten minutes to go putting James Viney up front along
with Dave White leaving Lyden Davis at the back with John Bath. Again though
Bath strayed forward and four-goal Dave White stepped back due to Bath's
attacking minded mood. Although Bath strayed away from his position and scored
two the defence held it's own and Eamer didn't let a goal in in the last ten
minutes. Lyden Davis scored one and some good passing play outfield from Real
Henleaze kept Cannon Security away and handed Real Henleaze their fifth win of
the season.
Final Score: Real Henleaze 11 Cannon Security 7

27/04/06 -
Real Henleaze made a better than solid start against top of the table Lockleaze
Boys. Although Lockleaze took the lead early on Real Henleaze hit back with four
goals to take a 4-1 lead. The Real Henleaze Defence consisting of Eamer, Davis
and a slightly attacking John Bath. The three held it solid at the back early on
but later on in the first half things began to fall apart and Lockleaze went in
at half time leading 5-4 cancelling out Bath's one goal and Viney's first half
hat-trick.
The second half went much like how the first ended with Lockleaze on the run at
the Henleaze goal. Ben Arberry in the goal looked uncomfortable choosing to use
his feet over his hands. This wasn't a help but the he couldn't take all the
blame after the Defence began to deteriorate. Henleaze scored two more in the
second half but Lockleaze scored another seven to give them the win.
Countless amounts of plays played with injuries and with Matt Smythe out through
illness and Kyle Bradley out for other reasons the team looked less than fit
against top of the league.
David White came on late in the game and caused a lot of problems for Lockleaze
Boys which drew them to give away more and more fouls. They were earlier in the
game fouling and swinging their arms about a little but once White began taking
the ball on the Lockleaze players grew angrier until after a late David White
tackle one Lockleaze player swung for him in an attempt to punch him. Both
players received yellow cards.
Later on Aaron Eamer was battling for the ball in the corner with a Lockleaze
player and after Eamer touched the ball away the player, a different one to the
incident on David White, swung his arms out at Eamer with the ball nowhere even
close. The player hit Eamer across the body and shoulders but would have hit
Eamer in the face if he wasn't 6'6" tall. The player received a yellow card but
later on after the match it was found that the referee had not reported that
card to the dismay of the Real Henleaze team.
The game was played in a lot of intensity and there was a lot of bad
sportsmanship from Lockleaze who didn't like when things weren't going there
way, instead of battling for the ball fairly they instead pushed and shoved but
the referee let it all slide.
Real Henleaze didn't look too bad, especially with various injured players but
Lockleaze didn't look anything close to a top of the table side.
Final Score: Real Henleaze 6 Lockleaze Boys 12

Real Henleaze were without goalkeeper Kyle Bradley tonight due to work
commitments but in the opening 5-10 minutes it didn't seem to make a difference
with Real Henleaze taking the lead but from that moment onward no player seemed
to sit back and play defence. With no defence it was hard for Henleaze to have
an attack and it showed that the defence was almost absent.
James Viney was supposed to play as Real Henleaze' striker but due to other
players pushing forward it made Viney have to pull back to the Midfield where he
doesn't play as well as he does when he is attacking.
Lyden Davis scored three of Henleaze four goals while setting up the other for
John Bath but the defence wasn't there to keep Cheese Bombers away. Matt Smythe
kept back toward the end but being a lone defender left the attackers the easy
option of passing it around the Real Henleaze half of the pitch.
Final Score: Real Henleaze 4 Cheese Bombers 16

A shocking first half performance from Real Henleaze put them down early in a
game where their opposition made it so that there was no coming back. The
closest the score was was at 2-1 after Topnuts took an early 2-0 lead and Eamer
then ran onto a free ball to put it away for Henleaze' first of the night. The
defence was very shaky and no-one in the team looked to stand out to lead the
team forward. The half time score was 9-2 to Topnuts and that was well deserved.
James Viney got onto the ball to put away Real Henleaze' second of the night but
at half time heads dropped and they knew it was only down to playing for pride
in the second half.
The second half saw a huge improvement in the defence and slightly in the
Refereeing decisions. Lyden Davis and John Bath worked together well giving both
some good chances but the Topnuts Keeper was in top form to push the chances
away.
Eamer stayed back in the centre of defence with an injury trying to get the ball
away at every chance then seeing an opening to pass to Viney to score his second
and Real Henleaze' third. That was the final score. 9-3. The second half saw
Real Henleaze concede none but the first half was too much to come back from for
the team who really weren't prepared for. Real Henleaze move down to fifth and
will play against forth next week.
Final Score: Real Henleaze 3 Topnuts 9

Real Henleaze started the game with the usual starting five but with one new
player on the teams substitutes bench. Lyden Davis started on the bench but
rotated regularly and proved to be a good addition to the team.
Real Henleaze went 4-0 up in the first half through four goals from James Viney,
two of which were assisted by Aaron Eamer off the boards and one of which was a
penalty after the Cider Chiefs Goalkeeper stepped out of his area to clear the
ball.
After some dodgy decisions by the referee the half time score was 4-2 to Real
Henleaze who looked pretty comfortable.
The second half saw more substitutes used but the defence carried on looking
somewhat comfortable. No one in the match was a weak link and everything worked
well for Real Henleaze who finished the game 6-4 winners. The second half goals
coming from Matt Smythe who cooly put the ball in the net from the win and Aaron
Eamer who volleyed the ball into the net after a shot from Smythe came back out
off the boards behind the goal.

After weeks of speculation Real Henleaze will be participating in the GWR FM
Charity Tournament at Pro 5 on Sunday April 2nd. The team hope to have most of
their regular players available for selection. A couple may be out but it should
be a fun day nonetheless. With or without a couple of players Real Henleaze will
be participating in the Tournament and hope to get a bit further than the last
Tournament they entered of which we will not mention any more about. Get
yourselves down there even if you're not registered to play. It'll be a fun day
for everyone with GWR there along with apparent appearances from both Bristol
teams; Bristol City and yea Bristol Rovers not Bristol Manor Farm as you were
expecting.
Get down there and support Real Henleaze. We had a few supporters last time
round, this time we want some more. Come on. Get up bright and early for us.
I'll be there at 09:30am not sure about the others but we register in by
10:00am. Be there, don't be square.

Without Matt Smythe tonight Real Henleaze looked a little shaky in the beginning
but finished off strong. Real Henleaze took an early lead through a James Viney
finish but fell 3-1 behind shortly after. Being behind didn't stop Real Henleaze
from pushing on to try get back in the game and were leading at half time.
James Viney was on a roll often running the ball down the wing rather than
passing through the middle. Sometimes he ran into a dead end but usually
finished off the play with one of his seven goals. All the goals were finished
neatly with assists from Eamer, Bath and Ormerod too. One of Viney's goals was a
lucky one after a mistake by the Goalkeeper who let the ball run through his
legs. Viney though could have had eight but his shot flew just over the bar
hitting the wall and the ball bounced off Eamer's foot to roll into an empty net
at under 1mph.
Bath got the other goal for Real Henleaze after a good run through the middle
past a Call Print player to hit the ball at full power into the middle of the
net sending the 'keeper the wrong way.
Another rock solid performance from Kyle Bradley kept Real Henleaze strong at
the back with a much improved performance from Greg Miller who battled for the
ball and did well with the ball at his feet to pass it away.
Toward the end Real Henleaze finished strong against a worn out Call Print and
finished as deserved winners to get their second win in a row to bring Real
Henleaze points tally to 6 from a possible 9.

Real Henleaze thought they were going to be stuck with less players than they
had wanted but had a close to full team with Viney, Bradley, Ormerod, Bath and
Eamer starting for Real Henleaze and Smythe, Miller and Massingham as subs.
Real Henleaze started well early on with Real Henleaze taking an early 3-0 lead
with three quick-fire goals from Aaron Eamer. McStone brought it back to 3-2
until James Viney scored to make the score 4-2. Good play from Viney and Bath
set up two of Eamer's goals.
Smythe played well on the wing along with Viney on the other and Bath in the
middle providing for Eamer to finish the game with four goals along with Viney
and Bath both finishing with one. Eamer setting up Viney with a nice backheel.
Ormerod was solid and didn't stop battling for the ball when free or at an
opponents feet. Miller made a few nice passes out of Defence
Real Henleaze never stopped battling and once again solid Goalkeeping from Kyle
Bradley kept the team in it especially towards the end when the team began to
tire. Eamer walked off five minutes from the end due to an injury but it didn't
matter and Eamer wasn't feeling the affects come the final whistle as the team
walked away with their first EVER win!
The whole team did exactly what was needed for the game. At the back with
Smythe, Ormerod, Miller and Bradley, in the middle with Bath and up front with
Viney and Eamer.
Final Score: Real Henleaze 6 McStone FC 5

Real Henleaze players Aaron Eamer and James Ormerod today both successfully
completed the F.A. Small Sided Referees Course at Filton WISE Campus and are now
officially qualified to referee five, six and seven a-side Football
matches/tournaments. The players are now registered with the F.A. and although
are qualified match officials will remain players at Real Henleaze and can also
provide the team with rules information and any new rules that may come in to
play in the future. The qualification also obviously means that Eamer and
Ormerod are now both qualified to Referee Pro 5 matches.

Real Henleaze put on a hell of a performance tonight against Cannon Security.
Debuts were handed to Goalkeeper Kyle Bradley and Defender/Midfielder John Bath
who gave the team a lot extra.
Real Henleaze took the lead and went in at half time leading Cannon Security.
Kyle Bradley shouting and saving close to everything that went near him. Kyle
was always on his toes and kept Real Henleaze in it at times. Good finishing in
the first half from Eamer and Viney are what gave Real Henleaze the lead. One
Cannon Security player in the first half left all Real Henleaze players feeling
he should have been booked for persistent fouling and felt he should have been
sent off in the second half after the fouling continued.
Two other players should have been sent off for Cannon Security after David
Beckham-esque kicks at Aaron Eamer after they went to the floor after slide
tackles. The referee who has refereed Real Henleaze' past four games now had a
shocker and let everything slide. Aaron Eamer and James Viney thought they had
finished the game with three goals each along with Matt Smythe getting one and
Kyle Bradley said he only conceded seven which you would think would make the
score 7-7 at full time? Wrong. Apparently when both teams score seven it means
that Cannon Security win 8-6.
Overall it was a great performance by Real Henleaze in a match where the only
downer on the game was the refereeing. There will be an official complaint made
about the referee.
Final Score: Real Henleaze 6 Cannon Security 8
