History of Real Henleaze

The legend of Real Henleaze began in mid-2005. Filton College began work on the new WISE campus next to Filton High School and announced a new Pro5 5-a-side football league would be started there in the near future. Aaron Eamer and James Ormerod both noted it and both wanted to start a team, Aaron with an unsuccessful attempt with another friend. With the league still not started James came into college and had got four players including himself and needed another player. This is when Aaron joined to help co-found the team. James and Aaron began looking at potential playing shirts from JJB teamwear and found one they both liked that was cheap. Aaron later ended up finding different shirts which looked better though and the team now play in these white shirts made by Nike. With a young team, decent white shirts and high morale the team were just about on there way. Real Henleaze registered and were entered into the Thursday League Division One where they still remain at the moment.

The Real Henleaze website came about after Aaron Eamer said he could easily make a website that would cost nothing. Aaron made the website on the same day that the proposal for Real Henleaze was decided. The website was done the same night it was started so that the team could keep track of records and keep their forever growing fan base updated. Real Henleaze first ever game began on a bad note as they fell to a 32-0 loss against sports university students Seymour Butts. Real Henleaze scored there first ever goal the next week through Aaron Eamer in a 41-1 loss to Portuguese team Amigos. There is plenty of time in the future for Real Henleaze who are well on there way to becoming one of the best amateur football teams the world has ever seen!
